Denise Vaught

Ms. Denise Vaught is the founder, President, and CEO of Denise Vaught & Associates, PLLC; a consultant group and continuing education provider located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Denise Vaught has been employed in a variety of clinical, management, and consultant positions within the health care industry. Prior to working independently, she served as a Regional Director for a national health care corporation. She has extensive regulatory compliance experience and is credentialed to act as a consultant for the American Accreditation Health Care Commission, URAC. She also acts as a Surveyor for the NCQA / JCAHO Privacy Certification for Business Associates (PCBA) program. She is credentialed as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM). She has been active in a number of professional organizations and is a co-founder and Board member for the HIPAA Action Workgroup of Kentucky or HAWK. She currently acts as the CMS / Government Liaison for the Workgroup.

Ms. Vaught has been employed within the health care industry for more than twenty years, beginning her career in 1979 as a registered nurse. She received her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Louisville’s nationally recognized College of Business and Public Administration. Both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees emphasized health care administration, health policy, and health law in addition to business management. Her academic training and professional background provide her with the knowledge, skills, and insights necessary to be effective in today’s health care environment.
